- Plural of "incunabulum": A work of art or industry of an early period. This most usually refers to early works of printing or typography. In very early instances, words were printed to look handwritten, so this may connect to Booth and Brown's graffiti work before starting Autechre.

- May also be an instance of reduplication. Reduplication is the repetition of a word or part of a word to emphasize something about it. It's used more commonly in non-European languages. For instance, in Hebrew:
- "kelev" dog -> "klav-lav" puppy (serving to emphasize the smallness of the dog)
- "khatul" cat -> "khataltul" kitten
- "katan" small -> "ktantan" tiny
