Peel Session 2
It turns out these titles were all given by the late John Peel himself, not Autechre, who gave John the tracks unnamed. Regardless...Tracklisting
- Gelk
- Blifil
- Gaekwad
- 19 Headaches
Gelk: Blifil:
- Possibly related to "billfold".
- There is a character named Blifil in the novel The History of Tom Jones. This book is available online.
- Possibly related to "geekwad".
- Supposedly, John Peel named this track after the Indian cricket player Datta Gaekwad, whose name caught his imagination.

Hmm, nice effort! In fact the session CD was given to John with no titles, so he came up with the first 3. Gelk and Blifil are meaningless - he just thought they sounded like typical Autechre titles. Gaekwad was named after the Indian cricketer. During the show John stated that he was suffering from "19 headaches" - this amused Rob and Sean who contacted John live during the show and asked for the 4th track to be named 19 Headaches.
